Well, its Thursday morning the day after Halloween, thousands of parents are shaking off a rough nights sleep and thousands of children have rings of chocolate on their faces. Myself, well its 5:15 am and I slept ok, my stomach wasn't happy with a salmon pasta salad I attempted to invent last night. Not sure if it was the chopped up pickle, dill weed or horseradish that did me in. It is also possible that the gluten free rice pasta that finally got its chance at a dinner plate appearance created some fossil fuels when consumed by this ravenously hungry individual.
Enough about dinner, its a new day, its approaching 5:30 am and between the dimmed light of my laptop screen I type to you my days ideas, activity and agenda or just whats rattling around in this brain. The alarm clock is being deceptively nice, no beeping, no screaming just bright red numerals reminding me every minute in a slow dance around that it is time to make the donuts...err ... go to the gym. The generous thing about time is it can be manipulated right up until the point we have none left, at which point it becomes a mad dash for the door attempting to carry the days wares of food, phone, coffee, computer, clothing and what ever else you desire for the day.
This morning has started like no other with the look at the clock and "its that time again". Back and Biceps beckon today. My chest could use the activity to release some of this acidic pain and tension from Monday. I slipped a little on water intake yesterday, and will surely pay for it today. My workout will be a little slower paced and lower weight, with a mass consumption of water this morning being a little to late. When I'm dehydrated even the slightest my joints tend to creak and there is definitely a difference in the workout progression.
Damn, see you were warned about time being manipulated...Its 5:50, this creativity burned up the better part of 45 minutes and I need some gym time. Hope you all have a great day, and to all those affected by Hurricane Sandy hopefully all is well and everyone is safe. You will really have a Heavy Agenda removing all the sand and debris. For myself it is time to attack my heavy agenda and get some sweat on.
